Eighth-grader Brannon Cook, above, 14, carries the banner for Graduation Matters Anaconda at a rally supporting the statewide program Wednesday.

All students in the district gathered at the Kennedy Common as speakers and special guests (including Montana Tech’s Charlie Oredigger) explained what graduation means to them. The students also signed pledge cards that they would work to finish school and earn their high school diplomas.
