Montana Career Opportunity – Program Operations Director – Missoula Food Bank

Missoula Food Bank http://www.missoulafoodbank.org/ is a private, non-profit organization that addresses hunger in Missoula County by offering emergency food assistance to all individuals and families who come to us in need. We have been carrying out this model of service since 1982 and take tremendous pride in the diverse network of support that keeps our clients fed, our food service programs effective, and our organization healthy.

Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director, the Program Operations Director is responsible for supervision of Missoula Food Bank’s food distribution system, inclusive of program and clients services, and daily operations inclusive of food rescue, food purchase and food warehousing.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required in related field strongly preferred. Must have at least five years experience in a senior management position with supervisory responsibilities in a non-profit organization or closely related direct-service operation.

Other requirements include proven ability to lead a diverse team of employees who perform a wide range of job duties; work collaboratively within a team environment and have a willingness to assist other co-workers and volunteers as needed; have strong oral and written communication skills; have demonstrated organizational skills to support the balance of a wide range of tasks and responsibilities; ability to work within a fast paced, dynamic work environment and be self-motivated and self-directed; and, proficiency in the operation of common computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, as well an understanding of database usage.
