Silicon Valley startup helps small companies do business in China
A new Silicon Valley startup aims to help American companies talk business in Chinese.
The Santa Clara company’s name, Glogou http://www.glogou.com/ — which stands for "global goes to you" — doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue. But its business plan is easy to grasp: It is a marketing sherpa to guide small and medium-size American companies that lack the marketing muscle of an Intel(INTC) or Apple(AAPL) but that are eager to connect with China’s 400 millions Internet users and 700 million mobile-phone subscribers.
"We want to be a bridge to China," said co-founder Iris Huang, who was born in China. "Our mission is to help everyone become successful — to help them put food on their table."
