Montana Census and Economic Information Center Web Site Updated

Last week the Census and Economic Information Center web site was updated to
include some Census 2000 data in a new format. First of all, from Summary
File 1 (SF1, the 100% data) we added a 34 page Profile, in PDF format, with
selected tables for all Census Tracts in the state.

The 34 page Profile
from SF1 (for the State, Counties, Places and Reservations) has been on our
web site for a little over a year, but the Census Tract Profiles have never
been available until now. You can access the SF1 Tract Profiles at
http://ceic.commerce.state.mt.us/SF1detailedProfiles.html.

Also added last week were 58 page Profiles with selected tables from Summary
File 3 (SF3, socio-economic sample data). These Profiles are available in
PDF format for the State, all Counties, Places with 500+ population, all
Reservations and all Census Tracts. You can access them at
http://ceic.commerce.state.mt.us/SF3detailedProfiles.html.

Recently added to our web site is a link to the Census 2000 Transportation
Planning Package Profiles for all Counties in the state. These profiles
were compiled by the American Association of State Highway and
Transportation Officials. The link is available at
http://ceic.commerce.state.mt.us/CenPopHousSF3.html.
