Bootstrap Montana – Loan program lifting Montana entrepreneurs
Bootstrap Montana was started by the Gianforte Family Foundation in 2007 to provide zero percent microloans to Montana entrepreneurs for initiatives focused on building sales outside of Montana — "the kinds of things a traditional bank will not do," Rubicam said.
There are several standards a business must meet to qualify for a loan, among them that the company must be headquartered in Montana with more than half its employees working in state, must not have a history of bankruptcy and be selling products or services outside Montana.
