Montana Career Opportunity – Executive Director, WorkSafeMT.

The Executive Director of WorkSafeMT is selected by, and is responsible to, the Board of Directors for raising funds and the overall management of the organization, assets, programs, personnel, and contractual relationships in accord with its organizational mission, strategic goals, and operational policies. As chief executive officer, the Executive Director is the public face of the organization, chief fund raiser, is a champion of the values of work place safety, and maintains the collaborative partnership with the Department of Labor and Industry. The Executive Director works with the Board of Directors, and reports directly to the Chair.

Responsibilities:

The Executive Director is responsible for the success of the organization including:

Fund Development

Organizational planning and accountability

Program and project implementation and management

Budgeting and financial management

Supporting the Board of Directors

Personnel administration

Qualifications:

Education and experience equivalent to a minimum of five years in directly related fields.

Candidates should have the ability to:

Foster a cooperative work environment

Work effectively with a wide range of constituencies

Have strong interpersonal and communication skills

Be proficient in use of personal computers, QuickBooks, and related software

Oversee the design and maintenance of a web site, social media strategies and public awareness campaigns
