The Idaho Technology Council http://www.idahotechcouncil.org/ kicked off the first develop.idaho last April to unite a disparate software industry. Local software leaders then cited concerns about computer science education, a shortage of startup funding and a lack of connectedness within Idaho’s software sector.

A big response to a Boise software developers’ conference from sponsors and attendees enabled the Idaho Technology Council Software Alliance to establish two $1,500 scholarships for computer science students at Idaho colleges and universities.
