Missoula’s Sentinel High School DECA students to compete at national conference

Sentinel High School doesn’t have to do much marketing of its DECA program http://www.mcps.k12.mt.us/portal/StaffWebsites/BusinessTechnologyDepartment/MarkHartmanMarketingDECA/DECA/tabid/1105/Default.aspx .

It lets the results speak for themselves.

And that they did again with the high school’s triumphant finish at the Montana DECA Career Development Conference in Helena last month, where half of the club’s 70 members qualified for the national conference in April.

"This program has kind of taken on a life of its own," said Sentinel business and marketing teacher Mark Hartman. "When you have a chapter of this size, the students are involved for multiple years and they have a lot of ownership in what they’re doing."
