Montana Career Opportunity – Chief Executive Officer – Montana Health Cooperative

The Montana Health Cooperative http://www.mhc.coop (MHC), located in Helena, Montana, is the most exciting new development in healthcare for Montanans.

Initially funded through the Affordable Care Act, which passed into law in March of 2010, the MHC has been formed as a nonprofit, controlled and operated on behalf of its members. As an exciting first step, we are seeking a Chief Executive Officer who can organize and prepare the organization to begin serving Montanans by January, 2014.

This critical position will guide us through the start up process by developing and implementing operating plans and business objectives and identifying and hiring key staff to head the finance, operations, sales and marketing, and human resources functions. Bachelors/Masters in health care administration, public health, business administration or related area, or equivalent combination of experience and professional education.

The successful candidate will have five or more years of progressive management and leadership experience in the health insurance industry and will have extensive knowledge of the healthcare industry. Experience managing budgets and contracts, strategic planning, and coaching high performing teams of dedicated professionals is essential.
