Technology Scholarships for Montana Teachers

Education Policy Studies Montana teachers are eligible to apply for 20 scholarships to pursue a Masters of Arts degree in Learning and Technology at Western Governors University (WGU).

The $4,000 scholarships will be awarded to teachers who seek to integrate technology into their instruction, according to Montana Governor Judy Martz. The degree program encompasses a mix of education, leadership, and technology curricula. Every student enrolled at WGU is assigned a mentor qualified in the field of study who helps the student create a plan and a schedule for completing their degree program.

Since 1998, WGU has offered the only online competency-based degrees in the country. WGU is a consortium of approximately 40 universities, and is funded by 19 western states and 23 leading corporations and foundations.
