Rocky Mountain Log Homes looks overseas to increase business

With the nation’s home construction market still mired in foreclosure and debt troubles, the Bitterroot Valley’s Rocky Mountain Log Homes http://www.rockymountainloghomes.com/ is looking overseas to keep its business afloat.

The company has found a market for its Western-styled log homes and buildings in countries like China, India and possibly in the Ukraine.

"I think they see architectural magazines with photographs of buildings like ours and that gets the idea started," said Rocky Mountain Log Homes senior vice president Mark Moreland.

"Our buildings are uniquely Western. I think they like things Western."
