Montana State University to offer first dual enrollment course at Bozeman High School this fall

This fall for the first time, high school students will be able to take a Montana State University course at Bozeman High School and receive both high school and university credits upon completion.

The dual enrollment course, "Teaching and Learning: A Critical Introduction to Public Education," will be taught at Bozeman High School by an education professor from MSU. Among issues discussed will be the history of public education, contemporary issues in education and issues of equity, such as school funding.

The course is a great opportunity for students for several reasons, according to Jayne Downey, head of the MSU Department of Education.
