Montana panel endorses NorthWestern Energy wind farm plan
February 15, 2012 /
The Montana Public Service Commission has voted 3-2 to endorse NorthWestern Energy’s proposal to buy an $86 million wind-power project and pass on costs to customers through the rates they pay.
The Billings Gazette reports ( http://bit.ly/zoc8wr) that the decision Tuesday essentially allows NorthWestern’s contractor, Compass Wind, to start building the 40-megawatt Spion Kop wind farm near Great Falls.
