Silk Road – Four decades of spice – Culinary family Risho carves a niche in Missoula

The Rishos have never bought a turkey for Thanksgiving. The family of foodies responsible for The Silk Road restaurant bucks traditional Thanksgiving fare in favor of lobster, duck, elk, bear or whatever else is available. You’d think that the clan would clamor over the honor of holiday feast preparation, as each member is a tried and true presence in the kitchen. However, they say it’s the patriarch, Ray, who whips up family meals. It’s only natural that a Risho celebration would demonstrate their tradition of fine, adventurous dining.
