American Prairie Foundation and National Geographic are looking for students to follow in the footsteps of explorers, scientists and photographers on a Student Expedition this summer.

The National Geographic Student Expeditions program http://ngstudentexpeditions.com/destinations/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=NGExpeditions&utm_content=none&creative=17827936538&adpos=1t1 is returning to American Prairie Reserve http://www.americanprairie.org/ in 2012 by offering two Yellowstone & Montana trips. As part of the 12-day adventures that take high school students to the depths of the Reserve and Yellowstone National Park, participants have the opportunity to advance their photography skills and get behind-the-scenes experience in conservation.

Students will spend the first five days of their trip on American Prairie Reserve, staying at our unique yurt camp facility. During the day, they will venture into the vast prairie landscape on photo safaris, hike to Native American cultural sites and help Reserve biologists in their annual count of newborn bison calves.
