The 2012 Montana Housing Partnership Conference is coming fast. June 26th through 28th in beautiful, downtown Billings!

This is a reminder of two things that require action on your part.

1. We need people to submit Proposals for Topics to be covered at the Housing Conference, even for doing the normal breakout sessions that we always have at our conferences. We are doing it differently this year…..instead of setting the agenda and then looking for the people to do it, we want people to put in their request to share their expertise. We will take care of grouping people with similar topics, and fine-tuning the final agenda, but here is your chance to see your name in lights.

As a reminder, here is a list of the topics from the last conference:

* Mapping out Montana’s Housing Future

* Making Sure everyone gets a fair shake

* Putting housing into the economic context

* How goes the battle against foreclosure?

* Change is in the air; how are we handling it? (RESPA, SAFE)

* Financing Manufactured Housing

* Shared Equity: Community Land Trusts

* Accessibility

* Preservation

* Underwriting Information

* Fair Housing

* Resources available

* Etc.

Go to this webpage for more information about submitting your proposal for a topic: http://housing.mt.gov/request.mcpx

2. The 2012 Housing Conference is still available for sponsors. We have a whole new sponsorship structure this year……. There are great opportunities to raise your corporation or your agency’s profile! It will greatly assist our planning efforts if we receive sponsorship commitments early.
