A Montana based company is looking for an organization that is in need of Business Intelligence capabilities and expertise. The ideal organization has some or all of the following characteristics:

1 Knows it needs increased Data Analysis and Reporting capabilities

2 Has difficulty answering some basic questions about its operations

3 Has frustration from not having the right information at the right time in front of decision makers

4 Has too little or no dedicated staff with Data Warehouse experience

5 Spends too much time cobbling data together from various sources (or doesn’t know where to start)

6 Has data that is valuable but difficult to utilize because it is in different systems (or is locked within one system)

7 Has spent money on Business Intelligence but is not realizing enough value from it

8 Has Business Intelligence tools but they are too expensive for what they deliver

9 Has some budget for dedicating to Business Intelligence

The client organization will be asked to submit a response describing:

2 Staff assigned to it

3 What it would mean to your organization to be able to answer some of the questions it can not today

4 How access to a complete Business Intelligence environment will help your organization

Once the process begins, the client organization needs to dedicate time to identify a few questions that are currently difficult to answer, and define how and where to find the data needed to answer them. After about two weeks, a simple dashboard will be delivered to answer those questions. The organization may use the dashboard while providing feedback to the company, and while deciding if it wants to expand its capabilities.
