Research on LigoCyte norovirus vaccine published in New England Journal of Medicine

A study published Wednesday in the New England Journal of Medicine finds that a vaccine being developed by Bozeman-based LigoCyte Pharmaceuticals http://www.ligocyte.com protects against norovirus, an infection commonly called stomach flu.

"This is the first demonstration of protection in humans against what is a widespread and often serious illness and is a big development for the field," said the study’s leader, Dr. Robert Atmar of Baylor College of Medicine.
