Beartooth Highway supporters turn to UM for economic study
November 16, 2011 /
Friends of the Beartooth All American Road http://www.beartoothhighway.com/ has asked a University of Montana research group to conduct a study of the economic benefits the highway brings to surrounding communities.
To get there, Friends of the Beartooth, a nonprofit group that works to showcase the highway’s offerings and the communities along the way, must first raise nearly $160,000 to pay for the study.
The group will be asking travel and business leaders in Red Lodge, Cooke City and Cody to help foot the costs.
