My five favorite pitches from the TechStars Seattle Demo Day
TechStars Seattle today concluded their three-month long startup bootcamp as 10 companies presented their business ideas to a packed crowd at the Showbox Sodo in Seattle.
It’s been a long, hard voyage for each of the companies, starting with a vigorous application process in which just two percent of applicants were accepted. Many of the ideas have morphed, changed and — in the common parlance of startups today — pivoted in new and interesting ways.

TechStars Seattle Demos: One Room, 10 Startups, Tons of Potential
David Cohen has seen this movie before. As the founder and CEO of TechStars, he knows that the first year in any city is about building community, making impressions, and proving the model. Then things get turned up a notch.
“Year one is a lot of excitement, the town really supports it,†Cohen said. “People come out to the first Demo Day and they see it for the first time as a finished product, and people talk about it. Year two, you get a much bigger audience. I’ve seen that pattern everywhere.â€
