On The Frontiers Of Technology And Education: E-Readers In Montana Schools

Where the frontiers of technology and education meet, you’ll find Bozeman teacher Eileen Zombro, bringing digital learning to Montana public schools.

"It’s something that can be done," Zombro said.

Last year, she won a $2,800 grant, to buy 13 classroom Kindles for students who struggle with reading.

"It’s a technology that I think is easy to use and fun," she said.

Her kids agreed. One student told her he liked reading on the Kindle, because it reminded him of his iPod.

"I thought, he is really connecting it to his culture," Zombro said. "And he does like the iPod, and this looks like it. So this is going to make it easier for him to connect with a book, through the technology he’s very comfortable with."
