360networks has been sold to a Colorado company, but what that means for the company’s roughly 75 Montana employees, many of whom are based in Butte, is not yet known.
Zayo Group, based in Louisville, Colo., confirmed the purchase Friday. Zayo provides metropolitan fiber networks to cities throughout the country while 360networks has been a leading provider of fiber network and telecom services throughout the West.
"For us and our customers, it’s a pretty exciting move," said Scott Fincher, marketing manager for 360networks. "We’re complimentary companies."
