East Missoula Airstream business, Mintage Airstreams subject of reality TV pilot

For a guy who despises reality TV, Zach Nelson gave his shot at stardom a pretty solid effort Friday morning.

Nelson was in front of a camera for a good portion of the morning, explaining the work he does for Mintage Airstreams http://www.mintageairstreams.com/ .

The Mintage crew may become the next reality TV sensation because two Hollywood producers have chosen the unique Airstream customization and manufacturing business started by Rory Burmeister in East Missoula as the focus of a show they hope to sell to a network.

Todd Lewis and Bob Guiney – "Bachelor Bob" from the fourth season of ABC’s reality show "The Bachelor" – own Box of Flies Entertainment, and work to find and sell reality TV shows.

Mintage has gone from simply restoring vintage Airstream trailers to making its own trailers, and orders have been coming in steadily in the past months. Mintage will debut its original Teardrop model Saturday during an open house beginning at 11 a.m. at the shop, 3790 Highway 200 in East Missoula. Crews will be shooting during that event, and Lewis will be there as well.
