Fodor’s Lewis and Clark is looking for contributing writers

I’m writing to see if you can assist me in finding writers who may be interested in contributing to a new project I’m developing entitled The Lewis and Clark Trail. I’m looking for writers in Montana.

The project, which is part of the Fodor’s Historical American Guides (HAG) series, is designed to provide travelers with comprehensive information on tourist sights and special events related to specific historical themes. Every element of this series historically focused, from driving tours to town introductions to sight descriptions. Beyond tourist board, visitor bureau, and chamber of commerce contact information, HAG does not provide general travel information unrelated to the historical theme, but unlike other Road Guides, HAG does include information on tour companies that offer historically oriented trips; it also provides contact information for regional, state, and local historical organizations. Also unlike other Road Guides, HAG does not include general destination information such as climate charts, what to pack, or rules of the road. HAG is simply a compendium of historical attractions.

The Lewis and Clark Trail covers the historical era and geographical region through which Lewis and Clark travelled, from its beginnings in St. Louis and its subsequent trek to the Missouri River to Discovery Passage and down the Columbia River. Major themes include profiles of Lewis, Clark, and Sacagawea; various Indian tribes encountered along the route; how they lived; sites, flora and fauna, and discoveries. Includes 11 states: Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, North Dakota, Nebraska, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington.
