Missoula – Systems Engineer: LAN Design, Implementation, High Level Troubleshooting

Do you enjoy assessing networks and making recommendations? Are you good with servers, upgrades and rollouts? Do you enjoy working with people and explaining problems in a way they can understand? Do you like taking on the tough issues?

First Call Computer Solutions is hiring and we are looking for a straightforward, hard working person who enjoys IT and wants to help people and businesses right here in Missoula.

Customer service is extremely important to us. This is not a "backoffice" IT job. If you don’t enjoy working with people (co-workers, vendors, customers) then this position won’t be a good fit for you.

The Systems Engineer position is responsible for network assessments and design, implementations and high level trouble shooting. Additional duties include providing sales engineering assistance to sales staff and technical mentorship to Tier 1 techs.

Technologies of focus: Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange, Hyper V/Virtualization, Small Business Server, SonicWall, backup/disaster recovery, switching/VLAN’s, remote desktop, network antivirus etc.

Overtime/Bonuses/Health and Dental Insurance Benefits/Vacation and Sick Pay Benefits/401k and Cafeteria Program. Rate of pay depending on experience with bonuses and overtime averaging an additional $4,000 annually.

Minimum of 3-5 years of network administration experience required with additional experience in network design and implementations preferred. Two or four year degrees or industry certifications preferred but not required.
