Department of Energy awards $3 million grant to Idaho researchers

The U.S. Department of Energy has pegged an Idaho initiative to help develop solar energy sources across the nation.
The Energy Policy Institute, headquartered at BSU, received a $2.8 million grant to create technology that would identify the best spots for solar energy projects across the nation.
This is one of the largest grants the Department of Energy gave out in an effort to spur the development of alternative energy.
