3 Rivers Communications going fiber optic in Montana

Becky Burguess says she doesn’t like to cuss, but off-color words sometimes escape her lips late a night.

That’s when she does online wholesale ordering for her dog accessory store, 2 Dogs Long Dachshunds, a business based in her Power-area home.

"You open up a couple of pages, then get a snack and go to the bathroom while you wait for them to load," said Burguess, who uses a satellite-based Internet service. "If it’s cloudy, the service goes down. Sometimes it’s like having dialup."
