Photographer finding inspiration in Montana

As anyone who lives or visits Montana can affirm, this part of the country is brimming with beautiful places, and few capture the visual essence of our state better than Becky Neil. Neil settled in the Bitterroot Valley after retiring as a reporter, editor and photographer for two small newspapers in Inyo and Mono Counties in California. Stirred by her new surroundings, Neil trained her camera on the Montana landscape. She says, "The entire state of Montana inspires me. I’ve traveled all over the United States several times and seen lots of beautiful places, but I think Montana is the most beautiful place of all." After winning first and third places a couple of times in Ravalli County Museum photography contests, she decided to try her hand at selling her work.
