New Computer Training Center Opens in Hamilton – Authentic Computer Tutoring, Inc.

A high-tech husband-and-wife team has brought computer training to the Bitterroot Valley. On September 20, Marlin and Jeannette Neaves conducted their first class at Authentic Computer Tutoring, Inc. http://www.AuthenticCT.com in downtown Hamilton.

“We noticed that nobody offered this kind of training in the Bitterroot,” says Marlin, the sales and marketing half of the team. “We’re giving people a way to get up to speed on computers, without driving all the way to Missoula.”

Students can choose from a syllabus centered on Microsoft Office products, including Access, Excel, FrontPage, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word. The couple also offers an introduction to the PC, plus an introductory Internet course. In November, courses in QuickBooks and HTML will be added, along with a technical Introduction to the Internet.

Jeannette Neaves is a Microsoft Office User Specialist Master Instructor and a Certified Internet Webmaster Instructor. Marlin handles follow-up with students, in addition to marketing. The Neaveses, who live in Hamilton, own and operate the homegrown business. They installed new workstations, and will soon have high-speed Internet access. “The technology is state-of-the-art,” says Jeannette. “But we also took pains with the interior design, to make the learning environment feel inviting.”

Most classes can be taken in half-day increments and are offered at competitive prices, according to Marlin Neaves. “But we’re also offering package deals for classes,” he adds. “Plus discount specials like ‘Bring a Friend or Co-Worker.’ ”

The Authentic Computer Tutoring training facility is located at 217 North 3rd Street, Suite K, next to the offices of KLYQ radio, in the Professional Plaza in Hamilton. Students can get details about classes by calling 363-5475 or by going to http://www.AuthenticCT.com.
