SBSC founder launches Women Entrepreneurs Inc.
Karen Kerrigan, founder of the Small Business Survival Committee, has started a new organization, Women Entrepreneurs Inc., http://www.we-inc.org/2071/ that will lobby for improved access to capital and affordable health care for women-owned small businesses.

Kerrigan is still chairwoman of SBSC but will spend much of her time building the new organization, which also will provide networking opportunities for female entrepreneurs.
The organization also is working with the Business and Industry Political Action Committee to increase business involvement in this fall’s elections. Kerrigan says women entrepreneurs are particularly important because they "have tremendous spheres of influence back home."
