Officials defend Wyoming business laws

An international news story about a house in Cheyenne that is the address for more than 2,000 registered corporations kicked up some dust in the capital city last week.

The Reuters News Service article claimed the house at 2710 Thomas Ave. "serves as a little Cayman Island on the Great Plains. It is the headquarters for Wyoming Corporate Services, a business-incorporation specialist that establishes firms that can be used as ‘shell’ companies, paper entities able to hide assets."
