Support schools personally: Volunteering will help bolster strained budgets

This year’s school elections are over, and the results give education supporters much to celebrate – at least in Missoula, where voters approved all four levy requests.

Funding requests in other Missoula County communities, however, did not survive the election. As a consequence, these schools will need extra help and support from their communities in the coming year. They will have to rely on actively involved residents – parents or not – to make up the difference.
