Green Investment Group Will Buy Smurfit Stone Mill Site in Frenchtown, Montana

NBC Montana confirmed Green Investment Group http://www.greeninvgroup.com/ from Alton, Illinois plans to buy the Smurfit Stone mill in Frenchtown. Smurfit closed the plant over a year ago and since then has announced other potential buyers. But this time, Governor Schweitzer will announce its sale to Green Investment Group Inc., or GIGI.

GIGI’s public relations firm describes the company’s business model as focused on buying brownfield development sites throughout the United States and Canada and redevelops them utilizing "a unique, modern business model involving approach to restoring, redeveloping and reviving inactive industrial sites."
