$500K grant to link biz incubators
March 24, 2011 /
The Hampton Roads Partnership plans to use a $500,000 federal grant to link the region’s business incubators so businesses – namely technology outfits – will have access to more resources to help their growth.
The U.S. Commerce Department Economic Development Administration awarded the grant to the partnership’s Innovate!HamptonRoads program, which will start the process of bringing the incubators under one "virtual umbrella," said Rick Lally, president of Oceana Sensors in Virginia Beach and interim director of Innovate!HamptonRoads, a division of the Hampton Roads Partnership.
