Microsoft shuts down giant Rustock spamming network

Yesterday, Internet security specialists noticed that Rustock, one of the biggest e-mail spamming networks, had gone down. No one really knew why, but they new such an effort – shutting down dozens of servers used for spamming attacks – would take serious coordination and secrecy.
Turns out, Microsoft did it.
