Senator Baucus Applauds University of Montana Business Students Meeting with Warren Buffett Today

Senator Says Opportunity Paints Bright Picture for Students, Montana Jobs for the Future

Montana’s senior U.S. Senator Max Baucus is shining the spotlight on University of Montana business school students today who have the opportunity to learn from legendary investor and business icon, Warren Buffett.

"I’m so proud of our Montana students and I can’t wait to see how this once-in-a-lifetime learning opportunity will boost their ideas for the future. Warren is one of the world’s most successful investors and I have no doubt he’ll have some sage advice for our students to bring back and contribute to Montana’s economic potential," said Baucus who was an ardent advocate http://baucus.senate.gov/?p=press_release&id=170 for the meeting.

While delivering the keynote address at Baucus’ 5th Economic Development Summit http://www.mtstandard.com/economic_summit/ in Butte six months ago, Buffett invited University of Montana Master of Business Administration and Master of Accountancy students to join him for an extended question-and-answer session and tour two Berkshire Hathaway subsidiaries in Omaha, Nebraska.

Today in Omaha, UM students are participating in one of just six question-and-answer sessions Buffett will hold with college business students this year. UM was one of only 48 schools selected for the program out of the 200 colleges and universities that applied.
