MSU Dean Sharron Quisenberry named to World Board for International Food and Agriculture Development.

Sharron Quisenberry of Montana State University has been appointed by President
George Bush to the Board for International Food and Agriculture Development. Quisenberry is dean of
MSU’s College of Agriculture and director of the Montana Agricultural Experiment Station, and will
continue her duties while serving on the board.

As a member, Quisen-berry will work with other university and industry representatives to provide professional guidance to
the United States Agency for International Develop-ment. USAID is the country’s principal agency for helping countries recover
from natural disasters and making democratic reforms.

The board’s main mission is to increase world food production through effective use of the agricultural sciences. The board
has been called on for recommendations on food security, agricultural trade, rural development, sustainability, and other global
issues in agriculture.
Quisenberry will serve on the board through 2004.
