Welcome to MEDA: Leadership Dedicated to Building Montana's Economy

The Code of the West is being taught in schools around the West. Last month, the 10 principles written by a former Wall Street businessman were enshrined as Wyoming’s official state code.

But how seriously should Wyomingites take the Code of the West? Is it a list of inspirational guidelines, or feel-good fluff that oversimplifies today’s world?

Those were the questions addressed during a sometimes contentious debate at the University of Wyoming on Tuesday evening.
