Good heavens! SEC could take aim at super angels and angel groups

The MDT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program encourages and supports the participation of companies owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in transportation contracts.

Experts say new financial regulations will leave the venture capital industry relatively untouched, while so-called "super angels" will be stung by additional reporting requirements. New angel funds "will have to manage more administrative overhead, [which is] very difficult in a smaller fund," warns Jeff Bloom, who sees angels easing up on the pace of their investing.
