NorthWestern Energy Seeking Non-Profit Partners for 2011 Employee Volunteer Program
NorthWestern Energy’s Charitable Giving Program http://www.northwesternenergy.com/display.aspx?Page=Charitable_Giving&Item=89 is seeking proposals from non-profit organizations to partner with the utility’s employee volunteer effort for the upcoming coming year.
Since 2007, NorthWestern Energy has donated more than $2.3 million through its Charitable Giving Program to qualified non-profit organizations operating within the utility’s three-state service territory. In addition to the grant program, NorthWestern partners with charitable non-profit organizations to provide fundraising and volunteer opportunities for NorthWestern’s 1,400 employees throughout Montana, South Dakota and Nebraska.
Previous corporate partners include the March of Dimes’ Walk for Babies and the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Partner organizations receive a $25,000 donation from NorthWestern Energy and employee events throughout the year typically raise an additional $25-30,000.
Qualified non-profit organizations with affiliates that operate within NorthWestern Energy’s service territory in Montana, Nebraska and South Dakota are invited to apply. Organizations must provide opportunities and support for employee volunteer engagement in all three states. Interested organizations may download the Guidelines, Request for Proposal and application form at http://www.northwesternenergy.com (keyword search: charitable giving program).
Proposals are due by December 10, 2010.
