Study: UTOPIA ‘on right track’

UTOPIA is fighting back after the Utah Taxpayers Association encouraged residents to kill the project.

A feasibility study released within the past week shows that participating cities "are on the right track with their plans to deploy a fiber optic network in their communities," said UTOPIA officials in a statement.

Member cities are considering approving a $60 million bond this month to keep the project solvent.
