Idaho Power wins approval to buy solar power from large Calif. provider

The red tape has finally unraveled from the first sales agreement between a solar power project and Idaho Power Co.
The Idaho Public Utilities Commission announced Friday it had approved an agreement for California-based Grand View Solar PV One to provide supplemental energy to Idaho Power. The PUC began evaluating the agreement under the provisions of the federal Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act on July 1 and wrapped up its review this week.
