Montana Economic Development Summit to be webcast live

Montana’s senior U.S. Senator Max Baucus announced today the 2010 Montana Economic Development Summit http://www.montanaeconomicsummit.org/ will be streamed live on the internet. Already, more than 2,000 participants have registered to attend the summit on the Montana Tech Campus in Butte, September 13 and 14, and streaming it live on the internet will give all Montanans across the state the chance to participate.

On Friday, Baucus announced he had partnered with Superintendent of Public Instruction Denise Juneau and Commissioner of Higher Education Sheila Stearns to extend a special invitation to Montana teachers to use online streaming to bring the Summit to Montana classrooms. Today, Senator Baucus invited all Montanans to participate through the webcast and help create Montana solutions for Montana Jobs.

The webcast will stream keynote speakers on both Monday and Tuesday including:

· Legendary investor and philanthropist Warren Buffett;

· Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer;

· Chairman and CEO of GE Jeff Immelt;

· Media pioneer and internet executive Barry Diller;

· U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu;

· Disney President and CEO Bob Iger;

· and CEO of Sabre Holdings Sam Gilliland.
