ATK to create 800 jobs at new Utah facility

ATK Aerospace Systems announced today it will create 800 Utah jobs over the next 20 years in a new facility in Davis County where it will manufacture commercial and military airframes and commercial engine structures.

Mark De Young, president and CEO of Allitant Techsystems, and Gov. Gary Herbert said In a joint statement that the project would generate $939 million in new state wages over the 20-year period.

The board of the Governor’s Office of Economic Development provided ATK a post-performance tax incentive of $19 million, which represents 30 percent of the new state revenue that will be created by the operation.
