Montana Career Opportunity – Senior IT Manager, Infrastructure – Plum Creek

As the Senior IT Manager – Infrastructure at Plum Creek, you will be responsible for working with the Director of IT to develop a short and long-term vision for the IT organization’s infrastructure technology.

Salary: $100,000 – $130,000 + $48% Bonus potential

This role will include planning and implementing the overall strategic goals of Plum Creek’s infrastructure systems (network security, anti-virus, spam, and web site filtering, servers, storage and backup devices, and data center) which includes 1,000+ users, and 600 servers hosting more than 200 custom-developed and purchased business applications.

You will be responsible for all aspect of the organizations network systems, including evaluating, recommending, and implementing changes to the infrastructure to meet both current and future needs of the company. As a senior IT leader, you will draw on your people skills to lead, motivate, coach, mentor, and provide feedback to your team members as well as cultivate an environment that fosters effective communication, enthusiasm and productive interactions.

You will have the opportunity to define the vision and direction for the infrastructure team, and lead others in best practices and technical knowledge. You will develop, implement and continually improve practical infrastructure management processes.

Experience:

* Ten years of progressive experience in Information Technology including project management, advanced support management, infrastructure development, network design or other similar experience required.

* Minimum five years of experience at a senior manager level or above (Director, CIO, etc).

* Solid leadership experience in managing large cross-functional IT teams of 20+ people.

* Candidates should be hands-on with demonstrated leadership skills. System replacement experience required.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration or similar area of study.
