With strong growth for 2010, we are seeking a Director of Sales who will lead the company to continued growth.

West Paw Design is actively seeking an innovative, strategic leader to drive revenue by developing and executing effective sales and marketing strategies. This position will report to the COO of the company and be a pivotal member of the Leadership team. He/she will be responsible for critical aspects of sales operations and revenue growth that drives profit growth. By developing and leading internal and external teams, identifying and presenting opportunities, analyzing competition, sales forecasting, supporting sales, aligning the sales and marketing functions, and improving the company’s overall competitive position and penetration of target markets.

The Director of Sales will manage an in-house team of five, including two direct reports (Corporate & Int’l Sales Manager, as well as a future Customer Service & Outside Sales Manager). The focus of the position is to employ the candidate’s analytical and leadership skills to utilize high performing sales people rather than performing as a top sales person.

The ideal candidate will be a bright, highly strategic sales leader with a track record of success in both mid-size and small/entrepreneurial company environments. He/she will have a background in consumer products, and bring strong analytical skills coupled with some technical affinity.

Please, only qualified candidates with a high level of Sales management and strategic planning will be considered. Sales experience alone is not adequate. An undergraduate degree in Business, Sales and Marketing or a related field is required. An MBA degree is desirable.
