America West Announces Service For Billings, Mont.

America West (NYSE: AWA – News) announced today that it will initiate service between its Phoenix hub and Billings,
Mont., on Oct. 27, 2002. The flights will be provided by America West Express, which is operated by Mesa Air Group, utilizing the popular 50-seat regional jet.

"America West is pleased to begin service to its first destination in Montana. We serve most of the major cities in the northwestern U.S. so, adding service in Billings
gives us the opportunity to further expand our range of service," said C.A. Howlett, senior vice president, public affairs. "We’ve been particularly encouraged and supported
in this opportunity after discussing the business factors of the Billings area with Senator Burns and Congressman Rehberg."

Customers in Montana may connect in Phoenix to 52 destinations across the United States and Mexico including major business centers such as Boston,
Washington/National, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Dallas/Ft. Worth as well as leisure destinations such as Orange County, Calif.; Las Vegas; Orlando, Fla.; Fort
Lauderdale, Fla.; and Los Cabos, Mexico. Both leisure and business travelers will benefit from America West’s new fare structure, which eliminates the Saturday night
