AT&T bringing iPhone to Montana

After years of waiting, it appears that Montana customers will finally be able to get their hands on an Apple iPhone. Montana is one of a handful of regions in the country where AT&T doesn’t provide its own service, so although iPhones can be used on "roam" or with some limited coverage through other carriers, Montana callers haven’t been able to use the regular calling and data plans with the iPhone that is available elsewhere in the U.S.

That’s caused Montana iPhone fans to hope that the Apple touch-screen phone will eventually be available through Verizon, with some opting for other smartphones like Blackberry or Android-based devices. Rumors had continued to circulate around Montana recently that the iPhone was going to come to Verizon in Montana in the summer or fall.
