Big Sky Montana mom starts stainless-steel baby bottle business – Pura Stainless

The MDT Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program encourages and supports the participation of companies owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in transportation contracts.

Jen Moore went looking for a baby bottle that was easier to clean and wound up launching a business.

The Big Sky mother of two had to mix protein supplements with her youngest son Miles’ formula because he was underweight.

But the mixture’s smell doesn’t wash out of the plastic bottles.

A metal bottle would work much better, she thought, but she couldn’t find any.

Pura Stainless’ http://www.purastainless.com/ bottles are made out of "foodgrade" stainless steel, a material also used for milk pasteurization and beer brewing. It’s a material, the company said, that’s cleaner than plastic, eco-friendly and BPA-free.
