Kalispell, Montana state senator Verdell Jackson, who doesn’t believe in human-caused warming, backs state energy policy

A Montana state senator who believes global warming is not human-caused said he backs the state’s proposed new energy policy, which supports generating energy with coal and gas as well as renewable sources like wind and hydroelectric facilities.

Sen. Verdell Jackson, R-Kalispell http://leg.mt.gov/css/Sessions/61st/leg_info.asp?HouseID=0&SessionID=94&LAWSID=436 , requested updates to the energy policy during the 2009 Legislature and says he’s in favor of the new plan, which would become law if approved.

Jackson added that he supports using nuclear energy in Montana’s future and that potential energy sources should be evaluated for possible generation in preparation for future legislative sessions.
